Hacky Bits was founded in 2022 with a clear mission: to help companies around the world build and maintain secure applications. Backed by over 20 years of combined experience in application development, security, and manual penetration testing, our team has worked across diverse tech stacks and industry domains.
After testing hundreds of applications and uncovering countless real-world vulnerabilities, we saw a recurring challenge — security was often reactive, inconsistent, or disconnected from development. That’s why we created Hacky Bits: to bring deep, hands-on expertise into the heart of AppSec programs and empower organizations to shift left, build securely, and stay ahead of evolving threats.

What started as a curious hobby turned into a rewarding career. Outside of work, I’m usually tinkering with hardware or software, planespotting, or chasing the perfect cup of coffee.

With close to 20 years of experience in the IT industry, I’ve worked across software development, testing, and application security. My passion for the security domain led me to pursue industry-recognized certifications including CISSP, CISM, and CEH. A strategist with hands-on experience - because who needs a crystal ball when you can roll up your sleeves and dive right in. I'm also a rookie stock investor putting to use the AI tools available for my research & analysis.
